This is a little glimpse of what is going on in the Tamsyn G shop in Gillingham, Dorset.
There is http://tamsyng.blogspot.com/
where you can keep up to date with whats going on.
The shop is absolutely packed with products individually hand picked locally and from around the world. I try to choose smaller companies that fairly trade and are original.
Colour also plays a strong part, especially at the moment we need things that are bright and cheerful and make us smile.

I choose the yarn and fabrics in the same way, and as I am a designer I look at yarn and imagine what I could make with it. I believe yarn is not just for knitting. I stock unusual yarns that are great for needlefelting and using in textural jewellery as well as some fab ones for knitting and crochet. I like all the self striping yarns which are great for beginners as they can use really simple stitches and end up with something that looks amazing.
I also have a bit of a button obsession at the moment so you will find lots of treasure here, from vintage to modern ceramic buttons.
I run workshops on Saturday mornings, a knit and natter group on Thursday nights and Crafty Tuesdays more details are on the workshop page.
